The AI Engineer Weekly - #1

A Real AI Use Case, an Unreal AI Use Case, and a Way Too Real AI Image.

📝 Editor's Note

Hey, I’m Max. This is my first newsletter. I’m not exactly sure how to do this, but that’s okay. We’ll give it a go and see what happens. Hope you enjoy.

✅ What I Used AI for This Week

Let’s start with AI 101 - something I use everyday.

Using ChatGPT to Edit Emails

Have an important email to respond to?

Spent too much time drafting it already?

Paste your draft into ChatGPT, provide just a pinch of context, and ask for help.

You’ll get a crisp, almost ready to send (would still recommend skimming it), email to send to your bosses boss.

It’s nothing crazy. Sure, I could have arranged the words in that order too, but this way I can have a snack while it happens. 😋

🤯 The 1 AI Tool That Blew My Mind This Week

Google AI Studio

Now this is one I couldn’t believe when I first saw it.

The future is here.

Spent the last 3 hours trying to alter a family photo in photoshop?

Pressing random buttons trying to figure out how to put a fade animation after a video in your editing software?

Meet Gemini Live. The AI assistant that let’s you share your screen and explain what you’re attempting to do. It will then speak back to you, explaining how to shorten your brother by 2 inches so you look taller than him in family photo (he was on his tippy toes anyway).

Saw it in a video from Futurepedia (link), but haven’t been brave enough to try it out yet. Maybe next time I get stuck editing my highlight reel in Final Cut Pro I’ll speak with the Gemini oracle.

🖼️ AI-Generated Image of the Week

I hope you enjoy this picture of a way too real looking red fox. I mean, c’mon. Look at those leaves dude; unreal.
Prompt: Hyperrealistic wildlife photograph of a red fox in a misty autumn forest at dawn. The fox should be centered in the frame with incredibly detailed fur showing the natural orange, white, and black coloration. Capture the morning dew on the fox's whiskers and alert eyes. The forest floor features fallen leaves in rich autumn colors. Soft morning light filters through trees creating atmospheric fog. Despite the smaller resolution, maintain sharp focus on the fox's face and fur textures. Photographic qualities: professional wildlife photography, perfect exposure, natural color grading with subtle warm tones.

Thanks for reading to the end. I appreciate it.

See you next week,
